It was a glorious morning, so I headed off to work early with the ambition of putting a couple of tanks through the N7 to start the day off.
During my radio check I noticed that the tail servo wasn't responding to any stick inputs. I had a bit of a play around with it on the bench, but in short, the RJX tail servo has shiz the bed and no longer wants to play the game after only 25 or so flights.

Soooo what does everyone recommend as a good mid level tail servo? I'm only a sport flyer at present so I don't need to spend a fortune, but I would like to buy something that is reliable and will last longer than 25 flights.

Any and all advice will be considered....

Bk's seem to be a good servo, however I prefer the HV Futabas.

I have been been running an MKS HBL 980 on the tail of my TSA 600N Platinum, and I love it. The TSA 600N Pro and the Goblin 570 both have Align DS655s, which have worked flawlessly.

The BK's look like a well spec'd , well priced option.

The BLS276SV appears to be a BLS256HV with metal gears and are SBUS2 compatible, will they work with my VBar using spekky sats? Can get these for a pretty good price atm.

The MKS seem few and far between here in Aus.

BLS-276SV is still nylon gears but is faster than the 256HV

Min are you sure that the gears are nylon? The specs say MG. http://www.futaba-rc.com/servos/sbus.html

I've opened up my one and they are certainly not metal. They don't need to be at 5KG torque, metal will just add unnecessary weight.

So after doing some more research the BLS276Sv's appear to be more like a hybrid gear train. At $140 these are highest on the list atm.

I needed to stop procrastinating or I wouldn't get back in the air by the weekend, so I went for the 276 which was cheaper than if I had of replaced the shagged RJX like for like.

      Thanks for everyone's input.
