Just for once, let a company release a heli that is fully upgraded

I think it's funny as... align have been crucified in the past for releasing upgrades days after a product release.. and now Sab do it before the release...

Hopefully just bling and not design faults

Yes i think its a first world problem. Do you want the super smak machine out of the box? or a super super smak machine with a few extra quid that can be even better than your mates!

Ohh .. I get it.. I just find it funny that SAB will be applauded for it, where when other brands did it, it was met with outrage... almost like Apple and Microsoft...

either way, its not on my.. "I must get this" list... seeing I just bought that new motor for the mini

Actually you raise a very good point @Manyc. Normally everyone would be bagging a company like align for doing something like that. Personally I think it just gives you options. Your getting to the point where you can damage models now so if you pioneer the 38o we might find out the reason for the upgrades...

I think you are right @feral, AleeS seem to be the closest so far, their upgrade path will be ridiculously short.

I think the path to upgrading is an asymptotic function, you can upgrade until the cows come home, but does it make it any better? Sure, some upgrades really help heaps, some just for bling. Just a few essential upgrades for performance maybe. "My heli flys better than yours because it's shiny". If you have more pride in your heli, you'll probably fly it more, maybe there is an argument to upgrade the bejeezus out of it. My first bigger heli was a Rexy 550, and I upgraded everything. Probably cost nearly the price of the heli again. Would I do it next time, no, did it fly better, I wouldn't know. I'd keep it stock. But I don't put the stresses that @smakmeharder abuses his helis with. Upgrading is a interesting and vexed question IMHO.
