Yesterday, I went to a charity fun fly at T.R.A.C RC club. A club an hour Northwest of me, which I frequent quite a bit. The wind was blowing 15-20 mph, and it was a bit chilly. I was flying my TSA Infusion 600N Platinum helicopter on the west end of the field, when the engine flamed out about 16 meters from the ground. Now.....a few years ago, I would have panicked. But I calmly applied the necessary about of negative collective and floated it down for a textbook auto. Damage report......one burned out glow plug.
I replaced it, and finished the tank of fuel. :D

It sure is :) The weird thing about it, was I didn`t panic. I just handled it without having to think about it. I`m not sure if it was really skill, or just muscle memory from the tireless hours of practicing on the simulator. At any rate, I`m glad it worked out well for my helicopter. :D

Good to hear you pulled it off without incident Geena. I also had a glow plug die on me today whilst in fff on my N7 at about 15m. I managed to bring her down safe and sound in the outfield with only a little nick on the back of one of the tail blades where it bent around and hit the grip in the long grass. @Crash Heligod must have been on a rostered day off today!

Thought it was five times, don't know about the mirror requirement on a forum though.

      Cheers,
      Yak.
