They are discsussed on HF now:

I wonder if they can be used as direct main shaft power source without any gears due to relatively low kV?

Advantages:
- 7kW of power
- low weight (?)...

Secrets for the Best Performance

by Scott Trueblood

There are many misconceptions regarding gyros. I often hear “This gyro is horrible; my tail drifts.” This comment has been made about many outstanding gyros that top performing 3D pilots have demonstrated to be rock-solid. Granted, some gyros in very inexpensively designed RTF helicopters may not perform as well as top-shelf gear. However, if you are told that a Futaba GY-401 doesn’t hold the tail, that’s simply incorrect. In that case, you need to look more closely at the way the tail was initially set up....
From time to time we succede to damage head of hex screw.

I removed such screw with torx:

First use strong iron to heat up screw and weaken threadlock.

Use small hammer to place torx in damaged hex head.

Unscrew...

I hope this will help.

I learned about screw extractors but they are usefull for bigger screws.

3D Flying Tips

By Dave Miles

Playing a musical instrument, beating a video game and flying a model helicopter take time and practice. These and many other tasks all have steps that you must follow to learn to play the right keys or chords, learn when to push the right buttons, or how to move the sticks in the right direction to get the result you want. It’s hard at the beginning, but success starts with knowing what to do.

Basic...
Have you ever owned a helicopter that you crashed, wrote off, or sold and later thought, I want to go back to it?

I used to have a Hirobo Lepton that I wrote off during a crash, I didnt bother repairing it as the frames cost a ridiculous amount for a 425 mm bladed helicopter. So I moved on and got a Mikado xxtreme 480.

But after awhile, I have had realised, that Hirobo Lepton was awesome, there was something about it, when you told it to so something it did it and did not go off track.

Dare I say it, I liked how it flew more than how a xxtreme 480 flies.
