I spent $160 to $180 initially to get this 450 kit and electrics bought, built, and flying exactly as I had planned. As I scan the classified adds...
Wow! I would if I could!
Very nice design. Efficient componant location, liniar servos, looks like an RC car shock used as a belt tensioner.... I like it.
I may need to investigate this further now that I'm learning to actually "fly" my 450, instead of toying with little micro-helis. I've recently...
Yes, I have already established that my particular CX450SE-V3 is kindred to any Align 450 SE/Sport/Pro type heli depending on versions and...
(Palmface) Duh..... rate mode.... basic rudder and counter-torque with no gyro. I thought there was more to it.
What I get out of it.... Rate mode makes Heli react more like a plank where the tail tends to fall behind opposite forward or banking movement,...
The stockpile grows. Ordered a complete main frame assembly, Tail assembly, Boom and CF blades. My FG blades may arrive tomorrow. :D
Never mind...... I found the answer. Sounds like I need to stick with HH mode. (No pun intended) :D
I have a question: What's the difference between HH and Rate mode in tail setup? I've been looking online, but explinations I see are vague at...
That takes balzz! One wrong move- Heli becomes submarine!
Second DSMX Sat arrived and installed. I figured two sats are better than one. Since I'm waiting on blades (tree be damned), I'm going to set up...
That would be correct. The thing is basically a T-rex Sport/SE. Mainshaft change takes all of 5 or 10 minutes to change including inspection of...
Yes on the mainshaft, but have spares and easy to change. Grips and feathering spindle are fine. ;)
[ATTACH] Three words: Inverted....... Wind...... Tree. .......missing fragment not found. .......miraculously, no other damage. They lasted a...
If the 5-mile rule were actively enforceable, I would already be in trouble. I routinely fly within 1 mile of an air-force base at the shop where...
Starting off, is it a good idea to match the tail rate to roughly the same cyclic rate ....... as in one full tail rotation per one complete flip?
That's what I figured, but had to ask anyway. I've been looking at blades online and noticed there are still plenty of wood blades for sale.......
So what's the point of wood blades besides being cheap? Is there any benefit to using them these days when we have the nice carbon fiber blades...
Out of sheer curiosity, I found out the one way bearing and sleeve from a Blade 400/450 will fit my TRex clone. Back in the air. :D
