I use EC5's on 700 class heli's...
I pretty much use EC5's on anything 6s...
if you want to FPV, and you are geared towards racing and aerial tricks... get liftoff, from steam... its the best I have come across.
Basically if its more than a 500 class I run a backup... even if the bec itself doesnt go.. there's battery ejections, desoldering bullets, all...
These guys are all about the fun... they don't take themselves to seriously...

I would look into the Optiguards as well... better as you dont need to remember to turn them on, and they provide a higher voltage on failsafe
if you can get it to fly right.. it flies a lot better.. and the power is awesome. but.. you need to get there.. and a lot of people go back to...
yeah seen that vid ages ago.. I will just say.. that once you go down the moding path with these, and any micro heli, it can be a long road to get...
been a long time since I played with a 130x... I added in the HP08 3s I think motor, with an external BLHeli ESC with gov... full metal upgrades.....

I assume you redid the mesh when you changed pinions... I also routinely grease my main gear as well
