Just wondering what effect does heavy blades have on a heli. Can they be too heavy? (within reason of course) can they be too light?

If i was to guess, light blades would give more maneuverability due to less gyroscopic effect. It should also mean less stability. Does anyone know?

Also what about the profile of the blade. Does it make that much difference to have a big airfoil as opposed to a slim one?
