Rage Blades, Unreal!

    Managed to sneak in some flights this morning before work to try out a set of Rage blades on my Chronos, and all I can say is wow. Really smooth on the cyclic and very responsive. These blades have a thinner root than most of the blades available, so they put less stress on the disk loading. In hard monovers like piro tic tocs, I noticed I could give more collective and cyclic without bogging the heli. This was also really noticeable with autos, even going from edge 713 to the rage 700 I still felt like I had heaps more hang time with the Rage blades. The rage Blades have to be one if the most underrated blades on the market.

      When you say less bog, does the heli also have more pop? Are they a light blade or heavy? what about the CG.. is it more suited for 3d (weight towards the root) or speed? (weight towards the tip). One thing i do like is the amount of WHITE... should be very visible in the sky.

      From what I understand they have increased the weight and shifted the centre of gravity to the centre of the blade, which gives more direct cyclic control. Also they have added more carbon to make the blade extremely stiff, but with a thinner root across the whole blade. Ill take some measurements of the root compared to my edge se blades later.

      Yea they do have awesome pop. I have flown these for a couple years now. Adam moved from the helix 715mm and noticed no decrease in performance -

      Yeah Adam is using them on the nitro also, he notices it's a lot harder to bog with the Rage.

      Yeah boys these rage blades are awesome couldn't believe how crisp they are on both Helis what helps in my opinion is they are an 8mm thickness rather than the usual 9 mm so less drag

      So if i am hearing right... More efficiency (less drag on the motor) - more pop - more suited towards 3d? In order to give more pop i would imagine the blades be slightly wider? The top profile looks very similar to a switch(edge) blade - ie no custom tip shape.

      Now next question - what are they like in fast forward flight? Normally if they are good with 3d, fast forward flight suffers a bit and the heli becomes unstable towards the higher speed spectrum.

      There fine for fast forward flight no problem, no I'll effects in fast forward flight.
