Soko Heli Tools is well known for their Soko Guage and Helical kit, and also using technology to their advantage. Now with their newest release there is no exception. Soko gives you a natural progression of setting up your helicopter and the Toolbox app gives you a new level of precision.

Among many features, one particular feature stands out. The virtual main shaft, this feature eliminates the need of a level surface by utilizing the power of your mobile devices and the Soko kit you currently own.

    Some Features

    • Swash plate level (at all pitch angles)
    • Blade tracking
    • Servo mid and end points
    • Pitch angle of the tail blades
    • Fine tuning of linkage length
    • Center of gravity
    • Collective and cyclic pitch angle
    • Absolute horizontal (spirit) level of helicopter

I've downloaded it.. the fee so has all the instructions... but if you want the "I don't need to level anything" function you need to spend $9

So is it a quality bit of kit or just a piece of bloat ware

It looks like a quality app... it's a step by step walkthrough on how to use the soko.. input the values and it remembers and prompts...

I'll give it a proper test when I setup the 630 this week... I won't get the virtual main shaft yet... as I like seeing 0 absolute on the setup.. just confirms it's all good.. if you know what I mean...

Yep I've downloaded and made the purchase. I'm in the middle or rebuilding my 500 so will get to test the app this week. Had a brief look. It looks like the manual with photos. It takes you thru a wizard like menu system for the setup. Should make things nice and simple.

I will try it for shitz n giggles, but the soko is already so easy to use and it only takes 30 seconds to level the mainshaft anyway (deck of cards is the go here). Might be good to have if you were trying to do a setup at the field though.
