      • Do take lessons and learn to fly safely
      • Do contact the airport or control tower when flying within 5 miles of the airport
      • Do fly a model aircraft for personal enjoyment

      Thanks for that..

Based on your summary "don'ts" - all that already applies over here.. nothing new.. been that way for a looooong time..

Except the 55lb model is only 7 0r 8kg limit here - after that it needs to be certified..

The last don't will kill funflys over in the USA.. Like ircha.. Think about what that would do for the hobby.. That's the main showcase for products...

I know it says drones.. But if passed it will move into helis aswell

Yea - but it's nothing new here...

Can take happy snaps using a model for fun but can't charge a cent for it without being CASA certified.
And that's a big ask to get the appropriate certification.. same as starting a small charter airline just about.

FPV has to be line of sight - with a spotter.. and the spotter has to be able to activate your RTH or failsafe if an emergency... how anal are we here!!!
