I am almost finished repairing a crashed heli, all that is left is the 2 boom struts, which are a carbon material, but the "grip" that they slide into, and then screwed to a boom clip is plastic,a few suggestions as to a glue that dont setup instantly, and WONT melt (chemical reaction)plastic............?

five minute epoxy should do the trick. Or you could install the boom struts on the helicopter and then put thin CA around the ends of the struts and let it wick in.

Very true. I've patched a few engine blocks and water manifolds with that stuff. (external/low pressure leaks)
