To the person who asked for this. (Sorry I forgot your name!)
Here is a quick guide on setting up a Taranis (OpenTX) with a VBar & SBUS
This config will also work with most FBL units that use the "H1 swashplate" or "Single Servo" type.

Hook up the VBar using S-SBUS between the RX and the FBL unit (RX C).
The servo's output will depend on your swash/servo layout.
Set your connection type in the VBAR software (IE SBUS & do a full reset)
Adjust endpoints/reversing in TX/software as appropriate after configuring the TX.

    VBar connections:
    RD = Tail rotor servo
    Ch1 ... 3 = Swashplate servos
    RX A = not used
RX B = ESC signal output
RX C = RX signal input
    RX 1 = not used
    RX 2 = not used

    The TX setup is:
    Swash type = Off
    Collective = -------
    Channel order = AETR (Futaba)
    Channel 1 = Aileron
    Channel 2 = Elevator
    Channel 3 = Throttle
    Channel 4 = Rudder
    Channel 5 = Gyro
    Channel 6 = Pitch

    Sticks:
    Rud Weight (100%), Expo +30%
    Ele Weight (100%), Expo +30%
    Thr Weight (100%)
    Rud Weight (100%), Expo +30%

    Mixes:
    Channel 1 = +100% Ail
    Channel 2 = +100% Ele
    Channel 3 = + 100% Thr (+ Curve1),(Switch SE UP),(Replace)
    Channel 3 = + 100% Thr (+ Curve2),(Switch SE Middle),(Replace) (Optional)
    Channel 3 = + 100% Thr (+ Curve3),(Switch SE Down),(Replace) (Optional)
    Channel 3 = - 100% Thr (Switch SF Down),(Replace) (This is hold)
    Channel 4 = + 100% Rud
    Channel 5 = + 60% Max
    Channel 5 = + 10% S1 (Add) (Optional) (Gyro Adjust)
    Channel 6 = + 100% Thr (+ Curve5),(Switch SE UP),(Replace)
    Channel 6 = + 100% Thr (+ Curve6),(NOT Switch SE UP),(Replace)

    Curve 1 = -100,0,0,0,0
    Curve 2 = 55,55,55,55,55
    Curve 3 = 90,90,90,90,90
    Curve 5 = -20,-10,0,50,100
    Curve 6 = -100,-50,0,50,100

Everything else is optional (ie sounds etc..)
Idle 1&2 Throttle Curve (Channel 3 - Curve 2&3) are optional
Idle 1&2 Pitch Curve (Channel 6 - Curve 5&6) you need at least one..
Curve 5 for beginners & Curve 6 for 3D pilots..
Bank switching can be done on channel 7, but I have not fully tested my .eepe.

Download & use my .eepe as a reference. (remove the .txt from the file)
Open this & drag it to your existing config & send it to the TX via USB.
If you fly with my .eepe, please check everything first (IE channel simulator).
It is easier to use the companion software to configure the model, but you can do this from the TX if you like pressing buttons.

      Thanks..
I like the logical way you program OpenTX.
Take your input (ie stick), modify it with switches (ie Curves) and then send it to the channel.

Below are my settings to tell if my main pack (3S) is below 10.9V for more than 1.5 seconds when throttle hold is active.
This will play a sample & tell me the voltage.
You can always download the openTX Companion (Windows, Mac or Linux) and have a look.
It includes a simulation of the TX, with all of the buttons you can click on.

In this example Logical switch 13 is active when: a<x AND SF UP is triggered, but wait 1.5 seconds
IE Cells is less than 10.9 for 1.5 seconds and throttle is enabled.
This will trigger playing the "battlow" .wav file & play the value of Cells

The delay is there to avoid false warnings when suddenly loading the battery.

Here is the some recorded telemetry Cells VS Throttle stick (Pitch)
Might need to check this pack..
Dropped a full volt in the first minute.. :(

Hey Yak, quick question. If I upgrade from pre 2.0 to Opentx 2.0.5 do I need to reprogram the radio or does it retain all config?

I've upgraded to 2.05 from the earlier release as I have installed the haptic unit.
My model .eepe files were converted with no issues.
Standard warnings are to make sure that you check before you fly.

There is a "cosmetic" issue with the conversion regarding the changes to the inputs.
If you previously used "long/short press" of a switch these will have to be redone as this has changed in 2.0x
Also custom .wav files with longer than 8 char names won't play.
You will have to make sure that you have the right USB drivers etc (for windows)
If you have updated previously, there should not be any issues.

Here are the screenshots of the previous Trex450.
Notice the change [I4]Ail, but this does not effect the model.

Just upgraded, seems the only gotcha is that if upgrading from 1.x you wont be able to flash the firmware with CompanionTX 2.0.5 unless you upgrade your device driver with zadig_2.1.0 first. Other than that it was straight forward.

      Yeah,
Upgrading to 2.0x you will have to have the STM32 (??) device/driver same as the earlier upgrades.
Only once you go to 2.0x can you use the FIRMWARES folder on the sdcard.
You may still need to update via the "old" method if you want to update the boot loader.

You quickly get used to the "double trim" when booting to connect via USB.
Enjoy the 64 "Special Functions" now..!
Should add a 2.0x .eepe to the original post now!

      Cheers,
      Yak.
