I had similar results in last week's mishap. (See pic of blades posted above in #573)
Someone tried to sell me one of those last year. How does (did) it fly, just out of curiosity?

Flies well, but they are fragile and don't crash well, but they are cheap enough to overlook that

I know for sure the canopy is eggshell. Seems like I'm better off with with my TRex clone... 2 good crashes- no frame damage. :D

During Australia Day public holiday, I refrained from drinking alcohol, however @Crash Heligod has decided to give me a little hangover.

Remember when your mum told you to go to bed, well heres why, so you can be bright and switched on at the controls the next day.

Yeah, back to that.... thanks to those good Align feathering shafts, instead of the shaft bending, the grips were slightly stretched around the bearing bore. So guess what I had to do this evening.

I was rolling out of an inversion...... after thinking about it, I might have went the wrong way with the collective.

I am very very proud of myself. It has taken 3 (three) crashes before one of my victims @Matty finally uncovered what the cause of all his crashes were. The mighty forza belonging to @Matty has hit the planet with undulating force 3 times now. And as @smakmeharder pointed out just recently servo horns can affect your flying!

Well how about stripping the teeth which grips the servo horn onto the servo and leaving just enough bite so that with normal flying no strange effects can be felt. But if you decide to smak it up a bit the crafty little servo horn will slip at just the right moment - when everything is under stress! and then when the heli hits the ground it will usually hit hard because the servo position cannot recover! - and to top it off, there will be so many pieces you will never know what caused the problem.

Well unfortunately I finally got found out. They always say that good things come in threes - well @Matty proved this one right.

If you are reading this and think you are safe, think again. There are many other parts on a helicopter that can be "modified" in such a manner that you will never know what caused the crash. If there is something to take away from this you should know I usually like to crash in threes. And never underestimate the significance of a $4 dollar part! muah ha ha ha...

It was a slow day at the shop, and one of our customer/resident heckler had stopped by to visit, so I fired up the 450 and flew around the lot to kill some time. Easy enough.... light wind...... so I went up and did a few flips and inverted hovers to "wow" the guy, then brought it back down and circled around the lot a few more times. Then the guy says "can you land it on top of that trailer over there?" (This same trailer where @Crash Heligod likes to hide) trailer.jpg

It looked easy enough, so I flew over toward the trailer and got into position to set down on top......
....... not realizing I was too far toward the back side. By the time I figured it out, chunks of small dead tree limbs started flying out everywhere from behind the trailer!! In a panic move, I pegged the collective and managed to pop up out from behind the trailer only to find out that I had no tail control and was in the Piro of death! Nearly missing the utility pole, the Heli ended up on the ground like a falling brick. :p
Tail pivot arm, tail boom and supports, servo horn, two pitch links- one of which was wrapped around the swash plate, Jesus bolt in head sheared, battery tray, one skid pipe, main blades, main shaft......
All parts I have on hand already except main blades.... which gives me the excuse to order new Align or Zeal blades now. New pitch and servo links will be ordered since the original ones were starting to get a little sloppy.
Thats what I get for trying to show off. Here goes another round of damage control! :D
(I should have taken an "after" pic, but had already begun damage control procedures before I thought of it)
