You should see @3dmick dirft car! its incredible! He has fitted a gyro to the steering so it holds the line perfectly during a drift!

Yeah, I thought about using an old tail gyro for that..... then I read about it being done already. I have a $36 bid on an old buggy on EBay, I have high bid with 6 hours to go. I've had one before, it can be upgraded to all ball bearings front and rear. I had a Dynamite motor on the last one. It was reasonably fast.
All I'll have to do is slap a Dean's connector on it and I can run my 2S LiPos on it. Should be fun since the 2400 Lipos only weigh half as much as the old 1200 NiCads did. I might even fit a truck body on it later.

 

Drift cars are awesome fun especially in a big group lol

 

Oh. yeah! I had a lot of fun with them about 10 yrs ago! I built my own track that was about 1/2 an acre with jumps, dipdy do's,. Messed up a lot of trucks on some of those jumps! lol. But I had a small shop right beside the track. So it wouldn't take long to be back in business!

I'm more of an off-roader, but the nice thing is that aftermarket street wheels and tires can be had cheap.... and only take a minute to change.

I was pretty suprised when i saw @3dmicks cars! The stones and dirt the tyres kick off is something to see. They are fast and i rekon would probably break your ankles if they hit your legs

 

They are pretty hard on wheels and tyres

 

Oh wow... how much are the wheels? Can you buy clone wheels? do quality wheels make a big difference?

 

Different tires for different surfaces, just like real cars. They make aftermarket parts for everything these days. I already have my eye on a set of wheels and tires for the one I just ordered.

And tyres it's about $60.0 the problem is there is so much torque and depending on what surface and how hard you drive them
So most time we end up with one broken car
