Ok...lol.....some of you may know how much I hate my nano.....but man lol....I went out for the second time outside. I went outside to check the wind and it was calm as Jesus on Valium. So I went out to do some inverted flying and circuits and what not and holy hell the wind started picking up but if I wasn't flying I'd say it wasn't windy at all. But flying the nano it was like a hurricane. I'm not the most coordinated pilot and I'm not the best but I know my way around and to the lame I may look pretty good. My god I hate this heli....there is not enough room to fly inside. Basically all I can do is some quick flips, hover, and slow flying. I can't fly out side because I can't see the damn thing, if someone farts it blows the heli around, you have to keep it pretty close so you can see it well enough to know your orientation and that means you really need to be fast on the sticks which I'm not that good at. I know if I keep practicing I'll get better but man it's just so much easier with a 500 lol. At least when I give positive pitch I know it will go up and not down lol. And let me tell you about circuits and figure 8's lol. I don't know what the problem is with me and this nano, but I can NOT do circuits. For some reason I can't bank the turns. I have no problem on the longer turns but having to do it all in such a close proximity and faster I have such a problem. I can't wait to permanently retire this thing or give it away haha. I for sure want a nice micro around but the nano does not fit me for sure. I'm don't with blade micros. They are just junk IMO. Maybe the nano just left a bad taste in my mouth. So sometime between now and fall I'm going to have to get something I enjoy better. Hopefully at IRCHA I can test out some micros and find one I like. I'll be going with a wad of cash so I'm sure every vender there will be yelling "try this" "try this" lol. I hope to walk away with 3 new helis depending on what I buy within the next few months. I know I can't wait until august for everything. After all that's most the flying season. I really want to try the nano in an indoor court or something like a high school basketball court. See if I can have more fun with it. I see all these vids of people enjoying the nano outside and I feel like I must be a retard or something lol. I'm just so sure a mcpx BL will fly so much better for what I want out of my heli.

How does everyone else like their nano? Does it seem to be holding up or are you constantly replacing something on it? I spent a ton of money making my nano crash proof and the only thing it doesn't have is a frame. I didn't want one because of weight. So what I did was drill holes in the frame and the canopy mounts and put a metal rod inside of them and then I glided them back on. So now they are as hard as steel. I kept having trouble with the canopy mounts breaking after crashes where the canopy would hit first and break off the mounts. I first said well I fly good enough now that I won't have any more of those crashes and just bought another stock frame...well I put that on and broke 2 mounts lol. But it was because I was being dumb. So I bought another one, put it in my heli tool box and smashed it when I closed it hahahahaha ha. Omg I was so mad. But like I said I ended up piecing them all together and making a nice stiff frame reinforced with steel rod and carbon fiber. I have so many fixes on this thing if I could do it all over I would of spent the extra money on something better. I mean hell my cheap v911 has not ever broke after some hard crashes from flying around at top speed circuits and hitting my light fixture...that this is hard core. Very boring to fly since it's so easy and you can't do anything with but still a great heli.

I broke my landing gear today...I couldn't freaking believe it! Carbon fiber landing gear and it broke at one of the plastic joints! wtf...seriously....you don't know this but if said it on another forum.....it's like forums are my fortune tellers....people talk about something going bad and I'll either be like I've never had that happened or I got a superior part so that probably won't happen....well guess what...whatever is talked about in the forums usually happens the next day...let me try to recall all the incidents...

      Motor burns out
      Tail boom breaks
      Canopy gets smashed
      Frame canopy mounts break off
And now my landing gear breaks....
I think that's it so far...I might be missing something but hell that's most the heli or HELLi.
I need to stay off these forums.

Now you know why I don't talk about my 500 lol.

Smakmeharder....can I have your address? So I CAN SEND HATE MAIL!!!!!! One of my servos just took a poop! Lol i swear every time a part is mentioned in a forum to me it breaks days later lol!

I just broke the nano down completely to clean it and make sure it was in tip top shape lol...what a joke....I was just holding it to screw a servo on and the from canopy mount just broke lol....I wasn't even pushing on it. It was just like it fell off hahaha that's ok though. I just cut the other side off and drilled a whole through the frame and put a CF rod in there. Now I have no stock mounts left lol. I'm going nuts with no cp heli to fly inside but I don't think I'm going to replace it. Something else will just go wrong so I'm done. It's going on the shelf. I'm going to look for the heli I wanted after I got this. It's not a blade thank god haha. I'll post it when I find it. I don't remember the name of it.

Here you go @TrAuMaChAsER as promised a video taken just for you! This is @3dmick smaking around the mcpx - BL. It was very windy but you can actually fly in strong wind.

But yeah the micros are finiky. I am persisting with mine. I have a micro heli dream where i can fly one pack after pack after pack with few issues. Am I just Dreaming?

Mcpx?.......for me to poop on lol

Don't know if any of you remember that from the Conan Obrian show a long time ago. As I said I'm done with blade.....I'm going to sell my 500x with only 3 flights on it before shiz start breaking on it and buy something worth having.

I remember telling myself when I first started getting pissed at all the problems my nano was having after treating it as if it were the king of my fleet that...eh it's only a 8$ part, it's only a 13$ part, it's only a 6$ part, it's only a 15$ part, it's only a 12$ part......after all that hassle it's finally clear the damn thing will never fly without shortly having another problem. In the long run it's will be much cheaper to just buy a 250$ micro. Like I said in my last post I remember seeing exactly what I want for 250$. IMO that's a lot for a micro but I enjoy flying in my house and occasionally taking it out in the yard and playing. It's fun having something to fly without having to go drive somewhere to fly the big stuff. I do use sims but don't much enjoy them. Flying on them just seems way to easy. No matter how hard I try and make it. It's fun but I much rather fly my micro around. I don't mind replacing parts because I tried something and failed and broke something on my behalf. But having something fail constantly because it's built with sub quality parts on purpose to make money from consumers buying more shiz parts from them. It's like they are built to last a certain time and then fail. Almost like they have a timer built in lol. I feel so sorry for the new people getting into the hobby and buying a nano and thinking that all helis have parts that only last a certain number of flights, a short number of flights at that. Also like I said my v911 has been flown the hell out of. I've put batteries in it one after another with no cool down period and it's still going strong with never having to replace a part because it has failed or broke and that's a 49$ heli! That can be found even cheaper! How can horizon defend that? I would expect the nano to be sold in a cart in the mall for 25$ lol. I know I have ranted a ton about this and I'm sorry. I thank those of you who have put up with it and have not bashed me for b!tching so much lol. At first I thought I just got a bad manufactured heli and it was just mine that was acting up so much. But after fixing it so many times the thing should of ran like a million dollar formula one car. Most of all it just makes me bad that blade does this knowingly and on purpose to make money. I have nightmares about it hahahaha.

On the bright side I am so excited about getting something new to plat with. I think I'm going to make a new thread about what I'm going to buy so people don't have to read and see all my rant lol. So instead of continuing this thread I'll link to a new one that is about my new micro investment. Heck I might even buy the cp version of the v911. To bad I really want to use my dx6i which I also wish I didn't buy sine I don't plan to use blade products anymore. Maybe I'll sell that too. I want a better tx anyway. I think once my ban is up from helifag oops helifreak I'll post some for sale stuff. Maybe I'll put them up here too. I don't know how how popular this forum is though even though I think it's great and actually like it way better than helifreak. Nothing drives me crazier than people bashing people on forums and trolling just to cause problems. It's like seriously we all are here because we love this hobby and yet there are people that insist on acting like jack a$$'s. I guess you always have those few who can't hold there own in the real word so they have to act like they are something in the forums. Oh well, got a little off topic but yeah.....new thread...I'll put the link in and you guys can all tell me what you think of my purchase plans. Hopefully I get some people who have what I plan to get and tell me how well/bad it's been for them. Have a good night guys! To tired to start shopping now.

Ok @TrAuMaChAsER No worries... Here is me flying my Brushless mcpx BL. I filmed this while you were replying it looks like. Finding that right micro is hard. If you find it let me know for goodness sakes. I put 20 packs through my mcpx BL today and all is good so far. Im just going outside (tonight) to put some more through. Hopefully it holds together. Sorry I couldn't help solve your Nano problems.

Call me lucky I guess. Nano is my first CP, I've had it about 3 weeks, I've run about 20+ packs and average 1 good epic wipeout every time I fly it.
Damage so far: Obviously I've had to patch the landing skids, but still the original one (reinforced with a piece of 0.20 steel wire @ front struts)...
Typical Blade egg-shell has been patched with some clear tape and a couple drops of super-glue... tail fin has taken a beating and is now anchored
with a drop of s-g since one of the clips broke off... Main blades (both sets) a little beat up, but still serviceable...
Aside from all that, it's still structurally and electrically sound and still flies like new after slamming into things and dropping onto a gravel parking
lot numerous times. Now it might be my habit of cutting power before impacts that helps to minimize the damage, but then again, like I said,
      maybe just luck.

I honestly think you can have a great time with a micro... and lynx heli (see banner on this site) have some really functional updates for the nano and mcpx bl...Most of my stuff was learned on a mcpx

I know..... I've been looking at Rakon too. For right now, I'm studying these forums and building on my CP skills. I'm not going to invest too much money
on this Nano till I'm more experienced with it.... maybe better landing skids if nothing else.

I fly my nano every 2 days for about 6-10 packs. I've had all the usual frame, canopy and motor failures mentioned but I love it.
For me it's my learner. I am currently practising inverted circuits and half piro flips on it. I driven it into the ground heaps, I fly it until it just about falls apart then fix what's busted. I figure I've spent a bit on motors, frames and canopies, but I've saved a lot of bigger heli repairs by practising on my nano. I fly it in all weather, windy days are more demanding but teaches reaction skills as it pops all over the place.
I changed the tail boom to a cut down mcpx boom so I no longer suffer boom breaks.
All in all I love my nano it's been and continues to be a great learner.

Exactly right @Stuart, use them for all orientation skills! after years of flying my mcpx/nano, orientations are automatic. Its the inbetween step that i use to move from the Sim, to the mcpx/nano then the bigger helis...
