I am not sure if this is a good idea for the obvious reasons.
But,
I am curious, before trying such experiments, couldn't this guy get into his car, drive out of town to a non populated area, and try his experiment there?
He flew into clouds, I dont know what the air temperature there was, or what altitude the clouds where at, but is it possible he could have flown into icing conditions and got ice on his propellers and drone?
I dont know his peak altitude, I dont think he would have got high enough for the air density to have an effect on his...

Hello People,
I'm building a Trex 450l Dominator (my first build) and I'm having a little issue with the tail. The two screws that connect the 'Metal T Type Arm' to the 'Control Link' are stuck. They won't screw in, or out for that matter. I must have put them in too tight and damaged something. Backing them out part of the way was really hard.
Can anyone help me?

Has anyone used a separate RX battery as a backup for the BEC on a YGE speed controller?
The manual says, if your using the 5.7 volt BEC setting, to just use a NiMH 4 cell battery directly into the receiver port.
I would imagine the main reason for using this is incase your main battery dies or the esc over heats etc.
Is a backup battery effective? or is someone better of snipping the red wire and using a separate RX pack and voltage regulator?
